Hello and Welcome

A Short Biography

Hello, and welcome to my website! My name is Corwin Wright, and I am a postdoctoral scientist in the Atmospheric Chemistry Division of the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. My work involves analysing data from the HIRDLS instrument on NASA's Aura satellite for new scientific results.

Prior to this, I studied for a DPhil in Atmospheric Physics at the University of Oxford. My project involved working with Dr. John Barnett on the detection of gravity waves using data from HIRDLS, and was funded by the Natural Environment Research Council. I was also a member of Trinity College, Trinity MCR, and Oxford University Trampolining Club.

At various past times, I have been a student on the joint MSc in Photonics and Optoelectronic Devices between the University of St Andrews and Heriot-Watt University, where my place was funded by the EPSRC, and on the MSci Physics course at the University of Durham, where I was a member of Collingwood College, and produced a final year report on Atmospheric Turbulence Measurements using SLODAR with Dr. Gordon Love.

This website currently acts mainly as a repository for my photos, CV, and writings although more may get added at some point in the future.

You can contact me via the email address [my first name] at [this domain], or via post c/o NCAR, 3450 Mitchell Lane, Boulder, Colorado.
